CETAP™ ~ Comprehensive Energy-Therapy Apprentice Program™
formerly Comprehensive Healing Apprenticeship Program (CHAP)

Comprehensive Energy-Therapy Apprentice Program is an educational multi-level program in energy-based therapies that moves from beginning to advanced practitioner and is complementary to all other fields of health care. The program incorporates a variety of energy-based modalities taught in five cumulative levels.

Each level in the Comprehensive Energy-Therapy Apprentice Program included both educational and experiential learning in which students practice and share experiences using energy-based healing techniques. Practical hands-on experience is a large part of completing each course. In addition, the program encourages the developing practitioner to enhance skills and knowledge through recommended readings and practice sessions. There is also a strong commitment to personal growth and knowledge of holistic principles.

At completion of each official level from the Comprehensive Energy-Therapy Apprentice Program that is taught by Sabrina DeVaney, the founder of the program, a Certificate of Attendance is given. All participants who successfully complete the core curriculum through Level 5 will receive a Certificate of Completion.

Completion of Usui Reiki Level 1 (or equivalent) is required for entry into CETAP. If you received Usui Reiki L1 (or equivalent) from another instructor you will be required to show your original certificate of completion/attendance and successfully demonstrate a working knowledge of basic practices for entry into CETAP.

Each level is a yearlong course. Students meet with the instructor once a month for 6 - 8 intensive hours. To ease seasonal holiday conflicts, classes will meet twice in two different months, and there are no classes in December or January of any given course year.

Level 1: $1,200 ~ next class starts Sept 2009
Though much of the training is geared toward working on others, the chief focus for first-year students is on self-healing through a variety of methods, including basic energy-therapy practices, meditation, full-body and mind relaxation, chakra healing, basic EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) methods, color healing and color therapy, and basic cord/attachment release. Students will also have fun learning how to see, sense, and read the human energy field (aura), and how to listen to and communicate with their own mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual bodies.

Level 2 & 3: $1,300 / level
Second- and third-year students will continue to develop their self-healing skills by enhancing and deepening their understanding of methods learned in the previous level(s). Students will also work more extensively with one another to augment needed skills for working with others. The ethics of caring for ones self and others, and handling issues of self- and client-assertion are two of the core focuses for second- and third-year students. Techniques for using energy-therapy as a first aid measure and for working with animals will also be developed at length.

Level 4: $1,300
Students will take their training to an even deeper level by learning numerous disease and dis-ease specific techniques, which challenge students to be more specific in their self-healing and in the healing of others, is the central focus of this level. The enjoyment and challenges of working with stones and crystals will be learned.

Level 5: $1,100
This is the Instructor Level in which we discuss case studies, mentoring possibilities, the client-therapist relationship, and ethics required for establishing an energy-therapy practice, including ways to integrate activities within the health community. The emphasis is on group dynamics, setting up programs, and principles and methods of teaching, as well as the importance of continuing education.
