Help Save a Feathered Friend Yesterday morning as I was looking out
my bedroom window, I saw a beautiful American Crow hopping around in the yard. His wing was stretched cock-eyed. I watched
him for a moment, wondering if he was just stretching. When he didn't pull his wing in and failed to take flight upon attempting
to do so, I grabbed some gear and went to retrieve him ... and discovered that his wing was surely broken.
I
called a friend, who came and drove us to the Wildside Rehabilitation Center while I appplied energy therapy. The plan was to mend his wing, then I'd pick him back up and re-release him into the neighborhood. Unfortunately,
it was discovered that his wing had been broken for a period of time and is irreparable.
Other than the broken
wing, it seems he is in good health and can live a long happy life ... if a home is found for him - be it a zoo, rescue shelter,
or an individual. A home must be found soon, otherwise he will be euthanized (within the week, if I understood correct).
If you or someone you know would be interested in caring for this gorgeous bird, please contact:
Louise / Wildside Rehabilitation Center Eaton Rapids MI phone: (517) 663-6153 fax: (517) 663-0449 email:

Additionally, prayers for him to receive a forever home/shelter/rescue, or for resources
to fall into place so that I may adopt him and care for him, would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
