Effects of Words, Thoughts & Music On Human ConditionsHere's an article from Reiki & Bio-Balancing Therapies' third newsletter,
which was produced in September 2005. It's certainly timely information we can use even today.
Effects
of Words, Thoughts, & Music on Human Conditions Using
high-speed photography, Dr. Masaru Emoto discovered that crystals formed in frozen water reveal changes when specific, concentrated
thoughts are directed toward them. He found that water from clear springs and water that has been exposed to loving words
shows brilliant, complex, and colorful snowflake patterns. In contrast, polluted water, or water exposed to negative thoughts,
forms incomplete, asymmetrical patterns with dull colors. The implications of this research create new awareness of how we
can positively impact the earth and personal health. ¹ Emoto’s research shows profound
scientific evidence of the effects of words, thoughts, and even music on the human body. To prove this, here are three simple
tests you can do yourself in the comfort of your own home. - If you usually listen to heavy music (i.e., rock, hip-hop, rap, or even your local easy listening station), listen
instead only to relaxation, meditation, and / or spiritual selections (with or without lyrics) for a period of one
week. During this period of time, take note of changes in eating patterns and choices of food, your mental attitude, changes
in your physical health, etc. (If you normally listen to relaxation, meditation, and / or spiritual music, change your selections
to rock, hip-hop, etc – WARNING: this reversal may have negative consequences.)
- This one make take more effort and
patience on your part, but give it a try. If you have someone in your life, someone you see regularly, with whom you might
have poor rapport, someone whom you think bad thoughts toward, intentionally revise your thoughts about that person for one
week (maybe two weeks would be better). Note any changes in your own thoughts about that person and also, even more importantly,
any changes you note in the other person. Be watchful, and honest, such changes will likely be subtle at first.
- When selecting your
TV, talk radio, and reading options, diligently and intentionally choose only upbeat and positive programs/reading materials.
Refrain from negative programming such as news clips that detail killings, a poor economy, disturbing health matters, talk
of war, etc. When watching TV, keep the remote handy! You’ll be surprised just how much you need to change your viewing.
Again, take note of changes in your own thinking, your own attitudes, and how you’re feeling physically.
If you take the time to do any or all of these simple tests, I’d love to hear your results. And with your permission
may even post them as updates to this blog. For more information on how words, thoughts, and other
externals influence human conditions (mental, emotional, physical and spiritual), take up Marsaru Emoto’s The Hidden Messages in Water (up to three volumes since this article was originally written) and Dr. Richard Gerber’s Vibrational Medicine. ¹ The Hidden Messages in Water, Masaru Emoto, front flap
